Who We Are

SHAPE (SHA Power Engineering Ltd) was established in 2023 to deliver assurance, compliance, engineering management and design services across Energy and Rail infrastructure projects.

Integration is the key to successful delivery, underpinned by strong assurance management, some example project challenges are below and the approach SHAPE takes to solve them efficiently.

Kilwinning 33kV ICP

Design of new 33kV connection for future Battery Energy Storage System.

SHAPE’s role: 5-stage 33kV design incl. cabling & P&C.

What SHAPE delivered: Multiple packages enabling progression.

Dyce Battery Energy Storage System (BESS)

New 30MW BESS site in Aberdeenshire

SHAPE’s role: Lead Design Engineer supporting design development into Construction

What SHAPE delivered: Design into AFC including Integration management between Electrical/Civils design and stakeholders to facilitate construction works

Outcome: Ongoing nearing Completion.

Devilla Wood 500MW BESS

One of largest BESS in Europe currently under design/construction in Central Scotland, once complete this will store and provide significant power to supply the grid

SHAPE’s role: SHAPE served as the Independent Chair for the multi‑stakeholder HAZID/HAZOP process, delivering assurance services and producing the associated HAZID/HAZOP reports that enabled the project to progress with confidence
